Mentoring for the Lavin Entrepreneurship Program

About

Mentoring is a cornerstone of the Lavin Entrepreneurship Program because entrepreneurship is not one-size-fits-all, and neither are the paths our students take. Lavin welcomes students from all majors, many of whom are exploring entrepreneurship not necessarily to become founders, but to understand the startup ecosystem and the opportunities within it. Mentors play a vital role by sharing real-world experience, offering career guidance, and helping students see possibilities they may not yet know to ask about. Through in-person group sessions and flexible one-on-one meetings, mentors help Lavin students build confidence and define their goals. They focus on essential professional skills, including networking, interviewing, salary negotiation, and career navigation. Ultimately, this mentorship empowers students to translate their academic knowledge into a distinct professional advantage, regardless of the career path they choose.
