The Lavin Entrepreneurship Program is dedicated to building the next generation of entrepreneurs by welcoming students from all majors to explore the exciting world of entrepreneurship. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and networking, the program offers free extracurricular weekly programming that will ignite an entrepreneurial mindset for both undergraduate and graduate students.
The Program consists of a One-year program that is extracurricular and meets weekly for up to two hours. The Lavin Entrepreneurship program is designed to inspire an entrepreneurial mindset. Through a series of hands-on projects, participants not only learn about the process and challenges faced by entrepreneurs but also engage with real-world problems. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends from experts in the field. A centerpiece of the program, each participant receives support and career guidance, from mentors from the San Diego entrepreneurship and innovation community. If you are selected for this opportunity you agree to attend all of the weekly meetings for the entire academic year.

Program Commitment
Students accepted into the Lavin Entrepreneur Program must commit to:
- Weekly cohort sessions on Fridays (9:30–11 AM)
- Active participation in workshops, projects, and discussions
- Engagement with mentors
- Attendance throughout the academic year
→ Because of the collaborative nature of the program, attendance is required.

What Lavin is Not:
- A drop-in club
- A one-time workshop series
- A casual networking group
Is Lavin a Good Fit for You?
Lavin is a good fit if you:
- Are ambitious & curious about startups or entrepreneurship
- Seek mentorship from distinguished founders and innovators
- Are willing to commit to weekly sessions

Lavin may not be the best fit if you:
- Cannot commit to weekly Friday meetings
- Are only looking for occasional networking
- Just want a resume booster or casual extracurricular/club

Lavin Entrepreneurship Program is an extracurricular program for the entrepreneurial curious—Undergraduate or Graduate students.
Participants in the Lavin Entrepreneurship Program (Lavins) will receive the following benefits:
- Networking: Cross-campus cohort of entrepreneurial minded students, creating the opportunity to increase your on-campus network.
- Fundamentals: Participate in hands-on workshops on the fundamentals of the entrepreneurship mindset.
- Mentor: A centerpiece of the program, each participant receives support and career guidance, from mentors from the entrepreneurship/innovation community. Mentoring on career guidance, entrepreneurship mindset fundamentals, networking, experiential learning opportunities around latest trends.
- Hands-on learning modules related to the infrastructure needs of startup infrastructure, such as latest AI tools, social media marketing trends, and other critical components of the startup infrastructure.
The Lavin Entrepreneur Program will no longer be for credit. Those in the 2023-2025 cohort will be the last to receive credit for the program.
Yes, you can apply as a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
The application is open during the spring semester for the next school year.
