One of the workshops will be hosted by Cathy Pucher, Executive Director and creative designer of SDSU's Zahn Innovation Platform Launchpad. The ZIP Launchpad is an award-winning on-campus incubator program that provides all SDSU students, staff, faculty, and researchers with the opportunity to launch a startup from an early-stage idea. In this workshop, she will give an overview of the ZIP Launchpad, hold a Q&A session, and offer a hands-on rapid prototyping exercise using TinkerCAD for the purpose of 3D modeling/printing.

There will also be a workshop on digital entrepreneurship, headed by Dr. Kaveh Abhari. Abari is an associate professor of information systems in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University. Digital entrepreneurship is creating, communicating, delivering, and capturing values with digital technology. This workshop will focus on defining and modeling digital entrepreneurship and digital education and then demonstrating how to design a digital entrepreneurship course. With hands-on learning and help from Professor Abhari, this will be an experience you don’t want to miss.

Following these programs there will be a reception in the courtyard that houses the entrepreneurship center. If you want to learn how to run an award-winning on-campus incubator program and more about digital entrepreneurship, please join us for a wonderful start to the conference and a great opening to the weekend.

To cover our costs of hosting this event, there is a $25 registration fee in addition to the $395 registration fee for the California Entrepreneurship Educators Conference.
