Lavin Center Unites with Diverse Partners to Grow the Local Community

The Lavin Entrepreneurship Center at San Diego State University is fortunate to be located in the middle of the San Diego ecosystem.  Not only is San Diego the eighth largest city in the United States, it is the second most populous in California. This provides the region with a talented base of entrepreneurial capital.  In terms of startup entrepreneurship and investors, San Diego ranks in the top six regions in the USA based on venture capital investment.

Community Impact PartnersSan Diego is a very diverse entrepreneurial community. With five major universities and a total of 26 colleges, San Diego provides the business community with highly educated resources to fuel the local economy. There are also more than 100 co-location workspaces in the county with a wide variety of industry clusters. Top industry clusters include aerospace, biomedical and biotechnology, military and defense, communications software, hospitality and tourism, life sciences, technology, action sports, retail and food, craft breweries, medical device, and an emerging cloud and SaaS cluster.

It is in this environment that we have partnered with various organizations to continue to fuel the growth of entrepreneurship in the region.  See our partners in the program menu on the left-hand navigation of this webpage.
