In the spring 2014 semester, the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center took on one exciting web project for the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation. The group selected was tasked with developing a website to serve as a resource for anyone looking to visit or move to San Diego for business or pleasure. San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation
San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation works with the private sector and local governments and agencies to determine the best ways to attract businesses and population into the San Diego region and retain companies as they grow. This goal of this project was to develop a website to serve as a resource for anyone thinking about moving to San Diego to join a company, to begin a startup or to live out an adventure. To this end, the team identified worked to create the AmazingSD website.
John Saunders is a Business Management major with a specialization in Entrepreneurship at San Diego State University. In 2011-2012, he worked as a promotional coordinator for JACK FM San Diego, doubling the listener incentive for the station in his first 3 months. During his time at SDSU, John has taken a small school radio segment and co-founded Brightside Network Media, an online broadcasting platform, which now holds over 275,000 listeners worldwide. With his passion for music driving the path, John intends to further the Brightside network while he attends SDSU.
Amy is an undergraduate student at San Diego State University studying Graphic Design. From typography to web design, she enjoys creative challenges and is always striving to produce the best work possible. Working closely with the Director of the Lavin Center, Amy is responsible for creating marketing materials to support the Center, as well as design of the integrated marketing tactics utilized by the Center including updating the Center's website.
Aditya Kappagantula is a graduate Computer Science student at San Diego State University. He is highly interested in web technologies and has worked in the domain for over two years. He has experience building websites from scratch and maintaining data sets.
