Lavin Entrepreneur Mentor

Designed to help students build and expand their professional networks.
Lavin Venture Home

The Lavin Entrepreneur Program offers the opportunity for experienced professionals to establish a mentoring relationship with a student entrepreneur acting as a close, trusted, and experienced colleague. The Lavin Program enables students to gain the necessary tools and mindset, whether they’re ready to start their own company or just want to explore their entrepreneur interest.

Lavin students are selected from applicants across the university and are not limited to any field of interest or academic major at SDSU. This provides for extensive areas of opportunity for students and mentors to consider during the mentorship program.

The Lavin program is aimed to help students kick start their ideas. It is a place for students to explore their passions and interests. The program engages a unique group of students, helping them prepare for the entrepreneur career path. Graduates will be able to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, understand the roles and responsibilities of an entrepreneur and marshal and deploy resources to launch and build new ventures.

Here you can find our “Lavin Mentor Guide”. The guide is here to help mentors understand their responsibilities as Lavin Entrepreneur mentors.
