Qualcomm Social Entrepreneurship Internship Program - Qualcomm Project Advisors

A unique opportunity to improve your community.

The Qualcomm Social Entrepreneurship Internship Program at San Diego State University matches Qualcomm employees with graduate business students and nonprofit organizations. This opportunity gives the Qualcomm employees a chance to become part of a team that advises SDSU interns as they complete projects assisting local nonprofits. This program gives Qualcomm project advisors unique access to the nonprofit organizations in San Diego and gives the project advisor a chance to learn more about the nonprofits and their causes while assisting them in completing meaningful projects.

Apply today to participate in the Internship program as a Qualcomm Project Advisor.

Duties of a Project Advisor:

  • Attend project advisor orientation at Qualcomm- This will bring every project advisor up to the same page before the commencement of the project. The orientation will serve as an opportunity to answer any questions the project advisors will have as well as provide detailed information regarding the desired outcomes of the program.
  • Meet with the Nonprofit’s executive director of the project- This allows the project advisor to be thoroughly introduced to the nonprofit that they will be working with and will give them an opportunity to identify desired deliverables with the ED.
  • Understand Scope- Being well informed on the scope of the project will allow the project advisor to stay invested and up to date on the current progress of the project.
  • Advise and assist intern- Using their real world expertise and experience, the project advisor will help guide the intern through any problems they encounter while simultaneously coordinating with the ED of the project on how best to utilize the interns skills and knowledge.
