California Entrepreneurship Conference

A Spring Board for Idea Sharing Amongst California Educators

San Diego State University and the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center invite you to attend the inaugural California Entrepreneurship Conference held on March 5th and 6th, 2014 on the San Diego State University Campus. Our mission is to connect California and Baja California* leaders in entrepreneurship education and serve as a spring board for the sharing of entrepreneurial initiatives taking place on our campuses. By attending the conference, your university will become part of the growing network of entrepreneurship educators in California as well as walk away with techniques and tools that can be implemented into your university's entrepreneurship curriculum and campus.

The California Entrepreneurship Conference will offer an environment that will:

  • Provide a platform for the exchange of tools and techniques utilized in teaching entrepreneurship
  • Expand networks of entrepreneurship educators and encourage collaboration between universities
  • Share current and brainstorm new avenues in which to improve entrepreneurship curriculum

The California Entrepreneurship Conference's primary focus is to increase the interaction between university thought leaders. The conference has been designed in a way that each session focuses on engaging interaction between conference participants. The conference will highlight the following:

  • Entrepreneurship curriculum design at the undergraduate and graduate level
  • Incubator development, challenges and success stories
  • The development of social entrepreneurship programs
  • Speciality programs reaching across campus connecting students with diverse backgrounds together to create innovative business models
  • Innovative techniques to ensure students are acquiring the competencies necessary to be successful innovators

Date: March 5th & March 6th
Location: Co-Merge & San Diego State University
Cost: $150 per attendee

*California refers to Baja California in addition to California
