Jack Goodall, SDSU '60

Jack W. Goodall, Founder of Jack in the Box, graduated from San Diego State University (SDSU) in 1960 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Management. Along with many of his classmates, he has succeeded in making significant accomplishments in the entrepreneurial world. He served as President of Jack in the Box Inc., from 1970 to 1996 and Chief Executive Officer from 1979 to 1996. He has recently become a proud sponsor of the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center at SDSU.

Goodall has also served on numerous boards of directors. Goodall served as a director on Rubio's Board of Directors, the Campanile Foundation Board at SDSU, Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. and previously served on Van Camp Seafood, Inc and Thrifty/Payless Drug Stores. He was also a director of Budget Rent-A-Car Corporation until Ford Motor Company purchased it in 1987. He founded Grossmont Bank and was a former partner of the San Diego Padres. Jack Goodall has created a career to be proud of and SDSU is most definitely proud to call him our own.
