The winter semester is in full swing! Are you making the most of your time while at school? The Lavin Entrepreneurship Center is here to help you with experiential activities in your entrepreneurship endeavors. Sure, learning material from textbooks is great, but putting knowledge into practice is where you'll see what you really need to work on.

Are you looking for a once in a lifetime experience that will push you to the next level of your career? Are you a sophomore or a junior? Then you should sign up to be part of the 2013-2014 Lavin Entrepreneurs. Graduates of this two-year program will know how to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, understand the roles and responsibilities of an entrepreneur and how to marshal and deploy resources in order to launch and build new ventures. Entrepreneur Day: March 12, 2013. The date is quickly approaching! Entrepreneur Day shows current students as well as past students how determination and hard work can produce successful companies. If you are a student and have founded your own company, then Eday 2013 is perfect for you! Even if you don't have your own company, come support your fellow Aztecs!!

Start-up @State: April 15, 2013

Start Up @State
Get ready for the spring semester's Start up @State! The event will host a panel of San Diego entrepreneurs allowing students the opportunity to interact directly with the entrepreneurs through the question and answer format. Following the panel of speakers, students will invited to the Alumni Center where fifty San Diego start-ups will be looking for students to hire. Entrepreneur Spotlight :Erin Chmelik

Erin Chmelik
On January 12, 2013, recent MBA graduate Erin Chmelik won the USASBE award for Best Student Paper. Her paper, co-authored with professor Martina Musteen, was titled Measures of Performance in the Context of International Social Ventures. It focused on both a social mission and innovative business models. Congratulations Erin and Martina! We are so proud of you!
