Founder Alums Welcome Lavin Entrepreneur Students

SDSU’s Shake Smart Opens New Stores in San Diego On August 23, 2013, SDSU students met with founders of Volcom, Tower Paddle Boards, Pear Sports and Marwest Real Estate to gain essential entrepreneurial insights before starting the fall 2013 Lavin Entrepreneur Program. Thom McElroy, Tim Garrett, Kristian Rauhala, Stephen Aarstol, and Craig Stevens discussed their career paths, shared future business goals, and answered students' questions about their companies. It was a great opportunity for incoming Lavin Entrepreneurs to socialize with their potential mentors in an off-campus environment. "It is exciting that we can provide our students with an opportunity to meet prominent California entrepreneurs that followed their passion and built great companies," said Bernhard Schroeder, the Director of Lavin Center Programs.
