SDSU Students' Launch New Website for San Diego River Park FoundationThis summer, a team of SDSU students were assigned to renovate the San Diego River Park Foundation's website as a part of the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center's WebCompass program. The students teamed up to work on the website redesign, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media tools integration. The Lavin Center Director of Programs, Bernhard Schroeder, oversaw the project and advised students on the strategy, design, social media tactics, and deliverables. "One of the most important investments an organization can make is SEO and Internet marketing," he said. "Increased prominence of a website within the search results can make a big difference in attaining an organizations objectives; we utilize students from three different colleges to create the team," added Schroeder. Students studying business, graphic design and computer science at SDSU comprise the website project team. The San Diego River Park Foundation benefited from a new website, designed to better meet their needs and the students received a unique learning experience.
