Dr. Bruton led a morning session entitled "Infusing Design Thinking into the Classroom" for SDSU faculty, explaining the value and significance of the learning environment as an incubator for future entrepreneurs. "We consider a design thinking approach to teaching and learning for the conception, design, prototyping, testing, pitching and innovation of new venture concepts," he said. Later in the day, Dr. Bruton discussed the importance of "Employing Design Thinking in Product and Business Model Innovation" with the Lavin Entrepreneurship Students and teams at the Zahn Center Incubator. "Innovation is about the real deal: the imaginatively-driven, transdisciplinary, hard core, yet practically-relevant mindsets and tools youthful people require in order to take in and change the world," he believes.
