Life Sciences Entrepreneurship Program Course
The Life Sciences Entrepreneurship Certificate Program was an intensive one-week program strategically designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of core startup business issues related to the life sciences and technology industries. In one week, travelers were exposed to the tools and frameworks necessary to leverage their knowledge and experiences to successfully start building their own life sciences company. This program counted as a 3-unit course for students.
During this program participants received a cultural experience like no other. Mexico’s Baja region is the leading entrepreneurial hub in the country. Attendees were exposed to the unique customs of the region, business practices in Mexico and Latin America, and developed lasting friendships with our neighbors across the border.
- Small and large life science company visits throughout the Baja region
- Intimate class lectures by industry professionals from both Mexico and the United States
- Group work with team members from both country
- Evening social events
The program was structured into seven full-day sessions. Each day of the program focused on different aspects of entrepreneurship as they related to the technology and life sciences fields. Throughout the seven day experience students engaged in group lectures, focus groups, attended presentations from experts in the community, and visited local companies. Students also formed study groups to generate ideas for new business opportunities and collaboratively refined their presentations in preparation for a final presentation at the end of the program.
