Tino is a first year MBA Student at San Diego State currently working on an entrepreneurship specialization. As a Marketing Specialist at the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center, Tino works to create connections between SDSU students and organizations in the non-profit and corporate sectors.Tino grew up in San Diego, CA and went to Torrey Pines High School in Carmel Valley. He has dual American and Canadian citizenship, and for his undergraduate degree, went to the University of British Columbia in Canada and majored in Political Science with a minor in Business. Upon graduating, Tino worked for 3 years in the Bay Area as a Business Development Manager at Advantage Sales & Marketing. Working on the Safeway team, Tino successfully managed clients in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry for Safeway corporate headquarter calls. This role included selling in new items, managing dedicated marketing campaigns, and looking for ways to grow the client’s business through pricing and promotional strategies.
Upon graduating from San Diego State, Tino aspires to work for a Consumer Packaged Goods manufacturer that is still in the start-up stage. This would complement his past CPG work experience and leverage his entrepreneurial-focused educational background.
