USASBE Conference in San Diego
Showcasing Innovative Entrepreneurship
The Lavin Entrepreneurship Center has an ongoing strategic relationship with USASBE.
Each year USASBE, the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, seeks to
find an entrepreneurial city to host their annual conference. As a hub of innovative
industries, San Diego’s entrepreneurial community came together to host the 2016 Conference.
The city recently was ranked the best place to launch a start-up by Forbes, speaking
to the growth of entrepreneurship in the region. With the help of local, regional
and international partners, San Diego State emerged as the premier candidate to hold
the event.
The 2016 USASBE conference was made possible by a number of great schools and programs
including San Diego State University, Point Loma University, Cetys Universidad, Baylor
University, Moxie Foundation, and University of Missouri Kansas City. The free-flowing
exchange of ideas between these innovative institutions helped make the 2016 Conference
a great success.
